The data backup system protects from inadvertent loss of your locally stored data. It runs in background and does not require user attention. Whenever new login data are saved in the Mateyko program or whenever old data are removed, the program will automatically create a backup and send it to the server in encrypted form.
This is of course optional and has been provided for users who want additional security.

Should you lose your locally stored data for any reason, e.g. system crash, hardware fault or virus attack, you can always securely retrieve it from the server.
Thus you never have to be afraid to lose your data.
