This tutorial will demonstrate how to use the Mateyko program and will help you get familiar with its basic functions that allow you to automatically store login data and login to websites.
When done with the procedure of creation of new identity that will store all your login data, the program will ask for the master password that you had set up when creating your identity profile. During the login procedure, depending on the password type used, you should either enter the appropriate key sequence using the keyboard or, if the Mateyko password was selected, click the appropriate sequence of squares on the picture appearing on the right-hand side of program window.
After successful login, the program starts running and its icon is visible in the system tray near the system clock. When you right-click this icon, you will see a context menu which allows you to access functions of the program. Double-clicking the icon will show the main program window.
How to use the program.
To start using the program, you must first enter data that will be subsequently used for logging in to selected websites. The Mateyko program integrates with your web browser; therefore you just start viewing your favourite websites. When visiting a website for which you already have a login and a password, you should enter these data in appropriate fields on the website and click the „Login” button, exactly as you did before Mateyko was installed.
When you click the login button and the login and password you entered have not yet been stored in the Mateyko program, you will see a window asking for confirmation whether you wish to save these data in the password database. If you confirm by clicking OK, Mateyko will save your login data.
From now on, you will be able to automatically login to the website every time you visit it.
When you enter the website again, you will see a window in the lower right-hand area on the screen with information that login data are available for this website.
If you wish to use these data, select them by clicking the entry and clicking the „Send data" button. After this operation, Mateyko will fill the appropriate fields in the website and the only thing you have to do is to click the login button on the website.
Because Mateyko runs in background, it will inform you automatically when any login data are entered on a website that have not yet been stored in the program database.
Thanks to this functionality, you do not have to worry about entering login data again.
